Tow Ready Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 GMC Sierra 1500- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the seven pole wiring for your in-bed for 5th wheel or goosenecks on a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500. And if you're using a 5th wheel or a gooseneck in your truck, chances are you're having to plug in that seven pole and draping it over the tailgate of your vehicle does work, but if you can extend that to the inside of your bed that way it's nice and easy to plug in, this is gonna be a great option, and this is how you're gonna accomplish it. The spring loaded lid is gonna keep any water or debris from building up in the plug, and it's just gonna retain all the same factory lighting functions as your 7-way. You'll also be able to use this one, as well as the one that's already factory so you're just kind of jumping right off of it so you're just changing location to make it easier on you. Now to begin our installation the main thing we're gonna want to do is figure out where we're gonna mount up our seven way. And generally in this flat area is a pretty safe spot and pretty common for people to put this in place. more

Hopkins Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2020 GMC Sierra 1500- Video

Today on our 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Hopkins 7 and 4-Pole trailer connector socket.Since the GMC Sierra actually comes with a blank dummy plug already installed on your back bumper, it's going to make putting this one in really convenient. And since it really doesn't look any different, the back of your truck is going to look pretty much the same. I really like how versatile it is since it offers us not only a four way connector, but also a seven way. That way you should hook up to multiple different trailers that have different types of wiring.So the four way connector, that's going to provide us with our turn signals, as well as our running lights, and our brake lights. The seven way connector is going to give us those same lighting signals with a few more. more

Hopkins Trailer Connector Socket Installation - 2016 GMC Sierra 1500- Video
Today on our 2016 GMC Sierra, we're gonna be taking a look at, and installing, the 7- and 4-pole trailer connector socket with mounting bracket. This connector is gonna allow your GMC Sierra to hook up to anything you may be towing that has a 7- or 4-pull connector.This is what our connector looks like installed. It's really nice because it utilizes all the factory wiring, so it's literally just a plug and play type deal. The connector itself just clips right into the bumper and gives you that nice clean factory look. The cap is spring-loaded and has a rubber seal around it, and what that'll do when we're not using it, it will keep any moisture or dirt and debris out of it. Also, there is a diagram on the caps, and that actually tells you what each individual pin does. more

Trailer Connector Socket Installation - 2014 GMC Sierra- Video
Today, on a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab, we're going to install part number HM40975. This is a Pollack 7 and 4 pole trailer connector socket with mounting bracket. There's a couple of other parts that come with the kit. This is the bracket right here that you can use to relocate your wire harness. It also comes with the hardware, 2 self-tacking screws, to install it into steel. This is our new part. more
